Temporary Housing
Update #3 - September 6, 2006
I hope everyone enjoyed their
Labor Day weekend! With the beginning of the second week of classes,
moves from temporary housing continue to happen very quickly. There
are no new announcements, but the statistics for this week continue to
show that we are well on our way to having all of the temporary housing
students permanently assigned before October 1, 2006.
As of today, 9/6/06:
- All 20 women have been given permanent assignments
- All Morewood E lounge residents will have moved
to their new assignments after this weekend
- 31 moves have been completed
- 41 men have been notified of their permanent
assignments
- Only 8 men still need assignments
Where are the temp housing
students moving to:
9% - First-year living areas (s/a New House,
Donner, Morewood E)
31% - Oakland apartments
49% - Traditionally upper-class living areas
(residence halls and apartments)
11% - Remaining in triples in Donner (2 still
pending confirmation)
Just a few reminders:
- Boxes are still available if you need them to
pack for your move
- If you are a Donne temp housing resident, and you
and your hosts are considering keeping the room as a triple, please
contact me as soon as possible!
- If you have been given an assignment, but have
not signed up yet for a move time yet, please e-mail me ASAP! We have
pre-scheduled times where movers are available to help you move your
belongings from your temporary assignment to your new assignment. All
we ask is that you are packed and ready to go for your scheduled time!
That's all for this week!
Sincerely,
Lisa Dippold
