IMPORTANT - WINTER BREAK HOUSING REQUESTS
The deadline to register for winter break residency is Sunday, December 19,
2004. Submittal of the registration is a mandatory action for any resident
remaining in campus housing for any period of time during the break. The
requirement includes residents of the open Oakland Community Apartments and
applies to any resident returning to campus housing prior to January 7,
2005.

Residential facilities will close at noon on Wednesday, December 22, 2004
and will not reopen until Friday, January 7, 2005. Locks on the entry
doors of residential facilities will be changed at noon on December 22 and
current card keys will be become inactive.

Cathedral Mansions, Fairfax Apartments, Morewood Gardens and
Webster Hall are the only buildings that will remain open during winter
break. Residents of the open buildings that stay during the break are
required to register online through the Winter Break Resource Page located
at http://www.housing.cmu.edu/winterbreak/

Any resident who does not live in one of the above buildings but finds it
necessary to remain in campus housing over the break must make arrangements
with current occupants of an open building to reside in their room or
apartment. Registration is also online through the Winter Break
Resource Page located at http://www.housing.cmu.edu/winterbreak/

Details are available in the Winter Break Memo that was mailed to all
residents or the Winter Break e-mail. This information is also available on
the Housing Services Winter Break Resource Page located at
http://www.housing.cmu.edu/winterbreak/

Best wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season and much success on
finals.
