Below is an announcement from our Facilities Management Service concerning a steam line repair. This repair will interrupt the heat in all hill area housing buildings. The work will begin on Friday November 19, 2004 at 9:00 A.M. and last until 7:00 P.M. This repair will not affect the buildings for this entire time period. After the repair is made they will begin to reestablish heat in all of the residential area's. The hot water will work with the back up boilers but it will not respond to the usual demand. Please make sure all windows are closed and keep in mind that the hot water supply will not be the same after 9:00 A.M. If you have any question please feel free to contact me.

On Friday, November 19, from 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM the medium pressure steam in MMC will be shutdown for a tie in of the steam vent for the construction project on B Level.

There will be not heat or domestic hot water in Margaret Morrison College. There will be no heat in Donner Hall or the hill dormitories. There will be domestic hot water in housing buildings but in shorter supply with the switch to the backup gas fired boilers.
