Dear Resident:

The purpose of this email is to remind you of an extremely important
deadline that is rapidly approaching.

The 2003-2004 Reservation Fee deadline is 11:59 pm, Friday, February 21,
2003. Any current resident who does not meet this deadline will not be
eligible to participate in Room Draw 2003 and will forfeit their right to
campus housing next year.

To submit your $250 payment, please go to the online housing reservation
fee link located at http://www.housing.cmu.edu/RoomDraw2003/. Your student
account will reflect the $250 charge when it is posted in July.

Once your reservation fee payment is made, you will immediately receive
your random room draw number to participate in the selection process. If
you later decide to retain your room, your room draw number will be
deactivated.

If you are still making a decision as to whether you will retain your
current room or use your random room draw number to select a new room,
Housing Services will accept room retention forms through 6:00 pm, Tuesday,
February 25. This allows all students to make the best possible choice in
selecting their 2003-2004 assignment. Once again, however, the housing
reservation fee requirement is due by 11:59 pm, Friday, February 21.

We are also offering a variety of programs that are associated with Room
Draw 2002 and designed to assist you making housing decisions for next
year. They are as follows:

February 24, 2003
6 to 8 pm

Oakland Community Apartments Open House
February 26, 2003
7 to 9 pm - You may enter any of the Oakland Community Apartments between
these times. A representative from the residential life staff will be
available to direct you.

March 3, 2003
9 am to 2 pm
