We are pleased to announce a new housing option for CMU students that will be
available at the beginning of the 2003-2004 academic year: The Student
Housing Cooperative (the co-op). The co-op will be a student-operated housing
area located in Neville Apartments that is democratically run by the students
who live there. Among the many new opportunities offered by the co-op will be
the option for men and women to live in the same room.

There will be a Town Meeting on Wednesday to discuss the co-op and to answer
questions. We will talk about the building in which the co-op will reside,
the goals of the co-op, how the co-op will operate, and the process by which
people can get involved. If you are interested in living in the co-op,
application forms can be found at the UC Info desk.
