Donner Residents,

The Donner Fire Suppression Installation has progressed over the past
week. They have the 3rd floor hallway ceilings framed along with Rooms
317-341 bulkheads.

Rycon, the general contractor, will be installing ceiling frame work in
resident rooms on the 3rd and 2nd floor next week.

Ryco, the sprinkler contractor, will begin Monday running the main
sprinkler lines on the 3rd floor west. They will also begin to install
piping in resident rooms on the third floor next week. Ryco asked that the
residents remove all items from their top closet shelves in the rooms
scheduled next week for pipe installation. Ryco will be installing
sprinkler heads in each closet where the top shelf is located. The top
shelf will eventually be removed in all closets in order to conform to the
latest fire codes for sprinkler head clearances.

we undertake a project of this magnitude to improve safety in our residence
halls.
