Dear James Manor Residents:
I am writing to inform you of a pilot program underway entitled the "Canopy
Project".
The canopy project is an investigation and testing of the feasibility of the
use of long range wireless internet to certain off-campus housing buildings.
Your part in this is that we may need to gain access to your rooms on 9/18/02
for a short period of time so as to allow the project facilitators to do
directional testing for possible equipment location. If your area is
selected due to favorable testing, a second visit to your space will be
necessary for permanent equipment installation.
You should expect the project personnel to be at your rooms at about 5:30pm
but no later than 7:00pm. It is not necessary that you be present for this
visit.
Please feel free to contact me or Dave Lubovinsky in the Housing Services
Office
(8-2139) with any questions or concerns regarding this matter.
We sincerely thank you for your cooperation and assistance in this endeavor.
Sincerely,
Tom Brooks
Facility Coordinator
