IMPORTANT: WINTER BREAK HOUSING REQUESTS

The deadline to request residency approval during Winter Break has been
extended until Friday, December 14, 2001.   Submittal of a "Winter Break
Housing Registration" is a mandatory action for any resident remaining in
campus housing for any period of time during the break.  The requirement
includes residents of the Oakland Community Apartments and applies to any
resident returning to campus housing prior to January 11, 2002.

Residential facilities will close at noon on Friday, December 21, 2001 and
will not reopen until Friday, January 11, 2002.   Locks on the entry doors
of residential facilities will be changed at noon on December 21 and
current cardkeys will be become inactive.

Morewood Gardens is the only on-campus housing facility to remain open
during the break.  Only residents who complete the "Winter Break Housing
Registration" and are approved to stay in Morewood Gardens will be issued
temporary cardkeys for access to the building.  Oakland Apartments
remaining open for occupancy are Cathedral Mansions, Fairfax, London
Terrace and Webster.    Any resident who does not live in one of the above
buildings but finds it necessary to remain in campus housing over the break
must make arrangements with current occupants to reside in their room or
apartment.
