The following announcement is made by Computing Services as
part of their commitment to inform campus of computing related news.

Network Outage 10/23/01 in Margaret Morrison Plaza and hill dorms

On Tuesday, October 23, 2001 between the hours of
5:00 am - 9:00 am, Computing Services will be
testing networking fibers that run from Margaret
Morrison Plaza to the following buildings:

Boss
McGill
Scobell
Welch
Henderson
Hammerschlag House
Margaret Morrison Plaza (storefront)
Margaret Morrison Apartments
Roselawn Terrace
Spirit
Woodlawn Apartments
all Sororities

Each fiber being tested will take approximately
5 minutes and will affect networking. All networking
to and from each building (including Wireless) will
be down.  No other buildings on campus nor the feed
to the Internet will be affected.

When testing is completed, the network will be restored.
