Dear Welch and Henderson Residents,

I'm writing to update you on the progress toward installing the Wireless
Andrew network in your two buildings.  As we have previously communicated,
Welch was delayed because of this summer's major renovation, and Henderson
was on hold because of a pending renovation that was scheduled to begin in
December 2001.  Renovations in Welch are now finished and the Henderson 
renovation has been put off until 2003, so we are proceeding with Wireless 
Andrew in both locations.

Computing Services' staff have completed the radio designs for both
buildings, and those designs are now in construction design.  A contractor
should begin within the next two weeks to install the wireless access
points in both buildings that will broadcast the network signal.

The goal for completion and activation of Wireless Andrew in both Henderson
and Welch is the week of October 8.  We will make an announcement when the
system is successfully up and running and ready for your use.
