Dear Oakland Apartment Students

As promised, here is your update on the happenings with the DSL Service
in your apartments.  At this time, there is no additional status to
report regarding the planned upgrades of the Telerama network. Phase one
of the upgrade is still on track for Friday and the weekend.  Phase two
is still on track for the end of the month.

Those numbers that have not been installed, including all of London
Terrace are still in the works.  We are still optimistic to have the
some of those lines installed this week, however we have no definate
install dates that we can give up, so look forward to more exact dates
in future e-mail.

Over the past weekend, it appears that a handful of lines that were
actually working have now gone down.  Apparantly Verizon saw what they
thought was an incorrect installation, and attempted to fix it.  However
these installations were correct, and they actually broke the
installation. We are aware of the problem and are trying to resolve it,
however if you were working adn are not now working, please call
Telerama and make them aware of the problem.  We are hoping to have this
resolved in the next day, however there is no guarantee as Verizon needs
to be made understand what the problem is.
