2006-2007 Dining Contracts

Plaid Plans

All first-year students are required to be on a meal plan. In addition to the traditional dining plan, students also enjoy the late night dining program that allows you to eat at participating dining services locations until 2 a.m. any night of the week. Meal plans are conveniently encoded on your Carnegie Mellon ID card.

Our dining program offers you a choice of meal plans comprising value meals and DineXtra.

There are three levels of comprehensive meal plans - Green, Blue and Red. Within each meal plan, you receive greater value with the more meals you select.

All first-year students must pick, at a minimum, from the Red Plans. Students may choose to select from the Blue or Green choices as well.

If contract information is not submitted by Wednesday, May 31, 2006, first year students will automatically be placed on the Red C3 plan - 30 meals plus $34 DineXtra per two weeks.

Detailed information is included in our brochure, Living Made Easy – A guide to housing and dining services at Carnegie Mellon.

Plaid-Flex Meal Plan Contract

If you are a Carnegie Mellon student returning for fall 2006, you need flexibility in tailoring a campus meal plan to your busy schedule and dietary requirements. We've heard your feedback and are introducing a couple of exciting new ways for you to participate in the convenience and value of dining on campus at Carnegie Mellon.

MORE VALUE - In three "Value Meal and DineXtra Plans", you have a choice of five, ten or fifteen meals per two-week meal period, and in response to your feedback we've added DineXtra to each plan level to make it easy to "substitute up" items in the value meals and pay with a block plus DineXtra.

MORE FLEXIBILITY - In the flexible "DineXtra Only Plans", you may choose to select any amount of DineXtra plan in $100 increments and earn a 1% bonus per $100 deposit. Plus this plan can be combined with any of the "Value Meal with DineXtra Plans" for those who want both the value and convenience of some block meals and also the purchasing flexibility of DineXtra. This plan also rolls over any remaining fall value into spring semester for your use.  So you will have full access to the full amount of your DineXtra for both semesters!

MORE CONVENIENCE - Don't see a plan that fits your needs? We added a new plan called "Build A Plan" under the DineXtra Only group.

We look forward to serving you in campus housing and dining in 2006-2007.
