Pod Attendants will be responsible for maintaining the four battle pods at the Carnegie Mellon Cafe, which will include:

  • queing up the gaming system for the customer to organize customer "battles"
  • maintaining an orderly and effective customer sign-up and gaming process
  • functioning as a resource of gaming & dining information
  • securing the console and pod resources as appropriate
  • additional duties as assigned

Students that apply for this job must have a basic knowledge of computer skills and the ability to troubleshoot a PC over the phone or via the 24/7 email support provided by the ETC. Students in this position must also have good organizational skills and excellent communication skills, as the job is highly customer service based. PA staff are required to work at least 6 hours/week, and some special hours may be available on the weekends, according to the schedule of special events.
