Welcome to the
on-line home of the
Carnegie Mellon Residence Hall Desk Services. Our mission is to provide
security and service to those living in our residence halls. Our desks
are located in Donner, Morewood Gardens A Tower, Mudge House, Stever
House and West Wing. As a part of Housing and Dining Services, the
desks are
managed by 5 managers and two graduate coordinators. The desk
management team along with the desk attendants work according to a
mission statement centered around service and security. Service: The Residence Hall Service Desks are available to serve the many needs of the Carnegie Mellon community. The services offered include equipment checkout and providing information about the community. Security: The importance of keeping the residence halls of Carnegie Mellon University safe and secure for their residents and guests is unquestionable. To uphold this belief, the Residence House Service Desks additionally carry out a validation policy of those who desire entrance to the five residence halls with service desks. A Carnegie Mellon University identification card is necessary to enter a residence house. Guests must be escorted from the house entrance and are the responsibility of the resident.
