Hello Residents,

Room Draw 2006 will begin next week.  It's the process by which current residents decide to retain or select a room for the upcoming academic year. You'll receive a full brochure in your mailbox late next week that assist you in navigating your way through making your housing and dining plans for this upcoming year.  You should also look out for an email that details the
commencement of the process and what your first steps should be. In the interim, please read the helpful information listed below.

Looking for a room or roommate? - Scotland Yard - UC, February 21, 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
General Room Draw Information - Wean Commons - UC, February 23, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Oakland Community Open House - Oakland Apartments - February 27. 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
General Room Draw Information - New House, March 1, 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Community Housing Information - Wean Commons - UC, March 29, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.


MAJOR ROOM DRAW 2006 DATES AND EVENTS

Confirm Participation and Retention Acknowledgement/Waiver
February 15 - March 1

Confirm your $250 reservation fee -  ONLINE
Receive your random room draw number (for room selection purposes) - ONLINE
Sign your 2006-07 Housing License Agreement - ONLINE
Retain or be pulled into a retained room - ONLINE


Room Draw Consultation Day - March 3

For residents that need assistance in making room draw decisions.


Group Housing
Applications are available February 15 thru February 28 - Selection on March 7

Applications available at the Housing and Dining Office for groups of no less that six but no more than 14 residents that would like to live together in the Oakland Community Apartments.


Building Retention - March 8
-------------------------------------------------
For first-year residents living on first-year floors.  Hamerschlag House, New House, and Morewood Gardens E-Tower are not included in building retention.


Displaced Resident Selection - March 9
-------------------------------------------------
Residents allowed to participate in this phase are specifically notified.


General Room Selection - March 20 ? 23

Current Junior+ - March 20
Current sophomore - March 21
Current First-year - March 22 thru 23
