The Residential Computing Consultant program is available for the Spring 2006 semester!
Residential Computing Consultants (RCCs) provide in-room computing help to students living in Carnegie Mellon housing. A Residential Computing Consultant is on duty Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 through 9:00 p.m, and Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 through 8:00 pm. The RCCs can help you resolve networking, software configuration, and security issues(virus/spyware/operating system patches).
Students living in Carnegie Mellon housing can contact an RCC via phone, e-mail, voicemail, or through a referral from the Computing Services Help Center. If you request RCC service, an RCC will call you to schedule an appointment. You must be in your room to schedule and receive any RCC visits. Any problems that cannot be solved during the RCC's visit will be referred to the Help Center for further support.
