Subject: New Elevator Power Connection and Total Building Power Shut Dear Cathedral Mansion residents, I received a phone call from the owner of your building on Wednesday, 02/21
concerning the elevators. She had been waiting to be contacted by Duquesne
Light as they are required to make the final electrical connection to the
new elevator. When dealing with a Utility company such as this the customer
unfortunately has little to no say in the timing and day selection. On the date of February 28th at 6:30 a.m. they will cut power to the entire
building for approximately one hour. This is needed to make the above
mentioned connection. During this time you will want to have a second means
of alarm to make sure you are awakened when you need to be. Also you may
want to turn off all of your computers. Once this connection has been
completed the installation company has approximately nine hours worth of
work to perform on the new elevator. Both elevators will be down during this
time period which is to be between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.. At
that time the old elevator will be back in operation.
The following day the new elevator is to be inspected by the county
inspector and as long as all goes well it will be operational as of Friday
the 29th. As I have mentioned in past mailings the good side to all of the work done
to date is that the second installation will not take nearly as long. The owner and I are truly sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. If
there are further questions please feel free to contact me. Thank you for your understanding. Steve Gergely ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
