THIS WEEK IN DINING
FEBRUARY 12 -- 18, 2007
Welcome to another week of This Week In Dining. As you are trying to keep
warm, make sure to warm up with Starbuck’s coffee from The Carnegie
Mellon Café, Maggie Murph’s Café, or any of Ginger’s
four locations. La Prima Espresso continues to brew all of its coffee
with fair trade, organic beans, and its Wean Hall location is a great
place to either start or end your walk across campus with a fresh cup!
For the month of February, receive a free flavor shot with any coffee
or espresso drink at Skibo Café.
HALF PRICED SWEET TREATS
The Killer Cookie, Ultimate Brownie, and other ice cream treats will be
half-off on Valentine’s Day. Stop by The Underground on Wednesday,
February 14, for a delicious dessert - they're big enough to share, so
come with your friends! Offer good while supplies last...
HOT SPOT
This week’s hot spot is GINGER’S DELI. Ginger’s is located
in four different buildings across campus. Ginger’s main location
is in Posner Hall, on the lower level near the tennis courts. Ginger’s
Express is located in both Baker Hall and The Purnell Center for the Arts.
Stephanie’s, located in the Mellon Institute, is also operated by
Ginger’s Deli. Ginger’s Deli and all satellite locations offer
a variety of sandwiches and wraps using Boar's Head Meats and fresh Breadwork's
Breads.
Salads are packed to grab and go. The café features healthy options
as well as vegetarian and vegan options. Starbucks and Seattle’s
Best Coffee are both offered at the Café as well as $1 bottled
water, juices and Pepsi products. No matter where you're going on campus,
there's probably a Ginger's conveniently located nearby.
PREMIUM ENTRÉES
This week, the BENTO BOWL premium entrée is the Bento House Special,
featuring Squid, Scallops and Shrimp over Lo Mein noodles. The SEQUOIA
GRILLE is featuring a delicious Texas Steak Salad. The CARNEGIE MELLON
CAFÉ at Resnik's newest weekly special is a Sweet Italian Sausage
Sausage Sub.
This sub is not a premium entrée, but will run for $5.95 or at
the cost of a standard block. It's being served for lunch all week long,
so make sure to give it a try.
If you are not in the mood for a premium entrée this week, all
locations have many other hot and made-to-order items on the menu. As
always, you can enjoy a premium entrée as a block with a few additional
dollars of DineXtra.
THIS WEEK AT SCHATZ
There are two specials at Schatz this week. Tuesday, February 13, is the
Valentines Premium Entrée Night and will run from 5pm – 8pm.
This All You Care To Eat buffet will include jumbo shrimp scampi over
pasta and will be prepared to order. The second buffet of the week, the
Chinese New Year Brunch, is on Sunday, February 18, and will run from
10:30am – 2pm.
ROOMMATE CONNECTION
Room Draw is approaching quickly. Are you looking for a roommate for the
2007-2008 school year? Check out the Roommate Connection, on Wednesday,
February 21, between 4:30pm – 6:30pm. Stop by the Scotland Yard
Game room in the lower level of the University Center to network with
other individuals looking for roommates.
Make sure you check out all of your 2007-2008 Room Draw Information. Room
Draw officially starts Wednesday, February 14. Have a great week.
