Welcome Back! We hope that you are coming back to campus refreshed and
ready for the spring semester ahead of you. We've worked during the fall
semester to make improvements based on customer feedback from last semester.
We'll keep you up to date as we make more changes for you in the future.
For now, we hope that our dining options meet your needs for a successful
semester.
The CRUNCH PROGRAM
You asked for it and now you have it – Vegan and Vegetarian dishes
have a new, more specific label. The new Crunch Program with Dining Services
has labeled all Vegan and Vegetarian dining options with the Crunch logo.
Look for the crunch logo at all of our dining locations.
MEAL PLAN CHANGE PERIOD
If you are interested in changing your meal plan for the Spring 07 semester,
don’t worry, you haven’t missed your opportunity. The Meal
Plan Change Period will be from January 29th – February 7th. You
can stop by the Housing and Dining Services Office for more information.
THE TARTAN COOKIE
The Tartan Cookie is back and bigger than ever! The Tartan Cookies are
baked daily at the Carnegie Mellon Bakery and available at all dining
locations starting Tuesday, 1/16. Pick one up for only $1, and don't forget
to grab some milk. You'll need it!
THIS WEEK AT SCHATZ
This is a pretty busy week for Schatz. Stop by this week for breakfast
and
pick up a Tartan Waffle. The latest Waffle irons include a Tartan emblem
that is shaped directly into the waffle.
Monday, 1/15 - that's tonight - will feature a Martin Luther King Jr.
Day Dinner. The Happy January Birthdays Party will be on Wednesday, 1/17,
and the Welcome to 2007 Dinner will be on Thursday, 1/18. All dinners
are in the Schatz Dining Room from 5pm – 8pm.
NEW at the CARNEGIE MELLON CAFÉ
Weekly premiums! Every week the Café will feature a new lunch premium,
Monday – Friday, from 11am – 4pm. Our first lunch premium
is Soup & The Primo Sandwich – Smoked Turkey with Cranberry
Mayo & Brie Cheese, served with a cup of the Soup Du Jour. If you
are there checking out the new entrees, be sure to get a game in at the
Battle Pods or stop upstairs for a quick work-out on the Fitness Mezzanine.
PREMIUM ENTRÉES
This week the BENTO BOWL premium entrée is the Five Spice Mosaic
Shanghai
Bok Choy. The SEQUOIA GRILLE is featuring a Cajun Bleu Burger on Ciabatta
Bread.
If you are not in the mood for a premium entrée this week, all
locations
have many other hot and made-to-order items on the menu. As always, you
can enjoy a premium entrée as a block with a few additional dollars
of Dine
Xtra.
Have a great first week of classes! Please stop by our website for more
information and to let us know about your experience at our locations!
