Good Afternoon,

I have received your maintenance requests and a call from your housefellow
concerning the lack of hot water in your building.

I placed a call to the building owner who sent a plumber to investigate why
the boiler had stopped operating. His findings are as follows:

There is a draft inducer motor that removes the exhaust from the boiler
while it is operating, the motor for this fan has burned and cannot run. As
is the case with most manufacturers this motor is classified as O.E.M.
meaning that this brand and type only can be used. The plumber and I made
numerous phone calls to local suppliers to find a replacement. Unfortunately
no-one in the area has one in stock. The plumber was able to contact the
manufacturer and they are over-nighting one in. This means that it will not
be here until tomorrow.

Your heat and cold water are not affected by this meaning that you still
have the use of your facilities, water to cook with etc.. The unfortunate
thing is that you will not be able to take hot showers in your apartment
until this work is complete. However you may use the facilities in the U.C.
this evening for showers is desired.

I am sorry for this inconvenience and will continue to work closely with the
owner's representative to ensure that they expedite this repair. If you
